Programs & Fees

The below rates are before sales tax, which must be paid at time of purchase.

Getting Started

We offer two types of training:  personal training and group classes.  The coach can help you choose between these two paths, based on your personal goals and current level of fitness.  If you want to join our group classes, you must first complete training in basic CrossFit skills — either via our Fundamentals class or an equivalent amount of personal training.

Personal Training

Many clients begin with personal training for a series of 12 sessions.  By working one-on-one, your trainer can tailor workouts to your current fitness level and move forward at the proper pace for you.  Personal training is a great option to build your general fitness base and gain more familiarity with CrossFit movements, or if your needs or goals include:

  • weight loss and improved body composition
  • extra accountability
  • you have generally been sedentary and are new to exercise
  • you are referred to us by a physician, physical therapist or chiropractor
  • you have significant health or orthopedic issues*
  • you have specific performance-oriented goals for sports (e.g. triathlon, football, basketball, olympic weightlifting, etc.)

Following your initial 12 sessions, you may then choose to continue with personal training or move into our group classes.  (*Individuals with significant health or orthopedic issues will typically continue with personal training.)

Personal training rates are:  $85 for a one-hour session 1-on-1 with a personal trainer, or $720 for a package of 12 one-hour sessions.  If you choose to train with one or more family members, each additional participant receives a 33% discount off these rates, so long as payment for the entire family is made from a single source.

Schedule personal training by clicking the “Personal Training” button in the right hand column of this page.

Group Classes

For those interested in group classes, you must first complete our “Fundamentals” skill development program or an equivalent amount of personal training.  (For individuals with prior CrossFit experience, the coach will decide on a case-by-case basis whether to modify this requirement.)

Fundamentals

Our Fundamentals program is designed for generally active, injury-free individuals, and consists of 8 sessions which introduce you to the proper technique & mechanics of CrossFit, so as to ensure your safety and success in moving into our regular group classes.  The regular price is $250 per person, however we currently have a special limited-time offer of 50% off ($125).  Note that if you miss more than 2 of the 8 sessions, you’ll need to make it up by scheduling personal training at additional cost.  If your schedule makes it unlikely you can attend all 8 group sessions, we also offer an alternative path of 8 one-on-one sessions at a cost of $400.  A new Fundamentals course typically begins the first Tuesday of each month and meets each Tues. & Thurs. for 4 weeks, and you typically have a choice of morning, mid-day or evening classes.  If unsure as to whether you are a good candidate to begin in a group class setting (rather than personal training), please contact us.  Please also note that the instructor reserves the right at any point during Fundamentals to mandate personal training for any individual who (in the instructor’s judgment) requires more attention than can be provided in a group class setting.

Reserve your spot now by clicking the “Fundamentals” button in the right hand column of this page.

Group Class Memberships

After completing Fundamentals (or equivalent personal training), you can select one of the following options to participate in group classes:

Purchase group class membership by clicking here.

Drop-ins:  $20 per session for non-members with CrossFit experience.  Please contact us before showing up.

Teen Class Memberships

We recently began offering special classes for teens at discounted rates of $75 (2x per week) and $100 (3x per week).   (An additional “Sports Team” discount may be available if 2 or more team members sign up — contact Kathy for more info.)

Family discount

After one person signs up for either adult class membership or personal training at our regular rates, each additional member of his/her immediate family can receive a 33% discount on adult class membership or personal training.  (Note that any child under 16 must be pre-approved by the coach.)

Discount policy

Discounts can’t be combined:

  • The 33% family discount applies to adult class membership and to personal training.  It is not currently applicable to Fundamentals, due to our limited time offer of a 50% discount on that program.
  • Since teen class rates are already heavily discounted, they are not eligible for a family discount.
  • If you wish to receive the family discount for personal training, contact Kathy to set this up.

A few comments on our rates:

Relative to other CrossFit gyms …

Our rates are generally competitive with those of other CrossFit gyms, but Agoge’s depth of experience is unique:

  • Nick cofounded the world’s first CrossFit affiliate gym in 2003, and has trained hundreds of CrossFitters and CrossFit coaches
  • Kathy and Nick have a combined 60+ years of experience in the fields of health & fitness

You can read more about our backgrounds (Coaches) and see what our clients have to say (Testimonials).  You are also welcome to meet with a coach (Schedule an Intro).  Or Contact Us with any questions not answered on this website.

Relative to conventional (non-CrossFit) gyms …

Our group classes offer many of the same benefits as personal training, but at a fraction of the cost:

  • Instruction & supervision by an experienced coach at each session
  • A workout that changes each day and is carefully-designed to provide maximum benefit AND keep sessions fun & interesting

In addition, the level of camaraderie and sense of community you get in sharing the workout with a dedicated group of like-minded people can be highly motivating.
