Mike’s 50thSeptember 19, 2009 Barefoot Running ClinicTuesday, September 22 at 5:30 PM we will be at Volunteer Park on Capitol Hill in Seattle for a barefoot running clinic given by “Barefoot Ted.” (regular classes for that evening are canceled) If you have read “Born to Run” this is the same guy that is mentioned in the book. The clinic will focus on how to get started, some technique coaching and how to self diagnose for continued improvement. He normally keeps this clinic to no more than 5 people. However, he will make an exception for us and allow a few more people in. Just a few though as we have to get the clinic in before the sun sets. So, if you are interested, let Kathy or I know right away. First come, first served. The cost is $30 per person and you’ll give that to Ted. The website also has directions if you need them as well as a wealth of information about barefoot running. Baseline Challenge beginning October 5th, 2009
Everyone will challenge their previous time for the baseline fitness test during the week of October 5th. We will have everyone’s previous test times available for comparison. If for some reason you have never done the baseline fitness test then this will be the week to do it. We will be looking for most improved and best overall time completed. September 16, 2009 July 14, 2009 Anderson Island - September 12th
Steve Harwood and his family have a cabin on the lake and have offered to host a crossfit workout / barbeque on Anderson Island Saturday, September 12th. There will be a sign up sheet in the gym for those who wish to attend and another sheet for what to bring for the barbeque. The plan is to meet at the gym at 8:30am so we can catch the first ferry over to the island. Bring your families for a fun day at the lake. Any questions, contact Kathy or Nick. |
